The Carriage Glow was started in 2013 by Laurie Renda and is a yearly event held the first weekend of August. The Carriage Glow has many breeds of horses and a variety of carriages competing that date back to the late 1800's. A highlight of the Glow is the evening Carriage Glow class, which is at dusk, with a ring surrounded by luminaries and the carriage lamps lit. In the 1800's, many social events were planned around a full moon and people took out there finest horses and carriage for nighttime activities. The show is a combination of ring classes, timed events, and a small cross country course. We have recently added a Driven Dressage as part of the competition.

The event is held at the Delaware Co. Fairgrounds 201 E. Acer Manchester IA 52257
